Behind The Game - Turtle Soup

Obviously, the title of this chapter, "Quadrille With a Mock Turtle," is a reference to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. In Alice, the Mock Turtle tells the eponymous character about a lobster dance, specifically a quadrille. Of course, in our story the dance is actually a battle.

Another interesting parallel to Alice is is that, in her story, she was taken to the Mock Turtle by a griffin. The Glutton, Emeraag's treasure, which the party obtains, contains a griffin related artifact. What's really cool about this is that this was not planted by the DM; it was purely a random dice roll.
