Pe cawn i hon yn eiddo i mi If she were mine, and lov'd me well.
O galon yn fy ngharu; Life would be naught but pleasure,
Ni fynnwn ddim o'i chyfoeth hi I would not care for sacks of gold,
Rhag ofn i'm serch glaearu Nor other earthly treasure.
Mae rhywbeth yn ei gwisg a'i gwedd Her winning ways, her laughing eyes,
Ac yn ei hadgwedd hygar, Throw such a charm about her,
Rhaid iddi fod yn eiddo yn eiddo i mi She must be mine, yes, mine alone,
Tra byddom ar y ddaear. I cannot live without her.
Pe cawn i hon yn eiddo i mi, If she were mine, my aim would be,
O fel gwnawn ei mynwesu; | To make her love me dearly,
Mae dweud ei henw ar hin oer That all her heart, and all her thoughts,
Yn gwneud i'm corff gynhesu. Belonged to me sincerely;
Ond pe bai hi yn eiddo i mi, But should I find, to my dismay,
A'i serch yn dal yn glaear; I had good cause to doubt her,
Ni fynnwn i mohoni hi Then were she mine, yet loved me not,
Ar gyfrif ar y ddaear. I'd rather be without her.
